CHIEF BB SHARDOW became the Chief and family head after the death of his elder brother Chief Essa Shardow in 1958. He remained in this position for thirty-two years (1958-1990).

He was a career civil servant retiring from the Printing Division of the Ghana Publishing Corporation in 1968. He died at the age of  88 on the 22nd of January 1990.  He had five wives and seventeen children.
