        CHIEF ESSA SHARDOW (1889 - 1958)

                (aka. Alfred / Yahaya Kankani) 

From 1919 till 1955 when he retired he was an

 interpreter at the Supreme Court in Accra.

He became Chief and head of the Shardow family in 1934

after the death of his brother Chief Suleiman Shardow.

He died on the 16th of June 1958.

 Children: Auntie Haske (1909-2000)Akuri (Ladi/Nman Kulu)

 

2nd Wife: Mami Akosua

Children: Amina Shardow  1933-1954 (First female to attend

school in the family. Died at child-birth)

 Benjamin Maxwell Shardow  (MamudunYahaya) 1935-1975

 

3rd Wife: Mami Adobea Addo (No child)

 

4th Wife: Auntie Limata (Yoruba) No child.

 

5th Wife: Iyawo (Yoruba) No child.

 

6th Wife: Ajorkor
