    Thanks so much for visiting the Shardow family-tree website. The idea of creating this site was conceived as far back as 2007.  With the encouragement and valuable contributions of some of the elderly members of the family, some of whom are no longer with us, the gathering of material and photographs began in earnest. Information gathered in bits and pieces over the past six years was eventually put together resulting in what we see today. The foresight of some to preserve records and the willingness of many others to share their knowledge of important family events and family history is what made the creation of this site  possible.

       I strongly believe that for us to effectively preserve our family history and heritage we have to be generous in sharing information. As you might have observed already, work on our family-tree is far from complete. With your help we will be able to fill in the gaps, correct any errors and build a family website we can all be proud of, ensuring that we leave behind an enduring legacy for our children and future generations.  In this regard, if you have any comments, suggestions, information, documents, photographs, diaries, journals etc. that you sincerely think would be of some help, please get in touch by sending an e-mail to: shardowfamilytree@gmail.com.
